Maysville Community and Technical College is now inviting applications for the position of Civil Engineering Technology, Surveying and Mapping Program Coordinator/Instructor at any MCTC campus locations. The initial term contract is for a ten-month contract. The role involves teaching 15 credit hours per semester, planning instructional activities, advising students, and maintaining training equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering technology, industry experience, and a commitment to professional development and community service. Assignments will include on-campus and may include online courses.
Essential functions include: Teach the equivalent of 15 credit hours per semester; Plan and carry out instructional activities; Provide academic advising and assist with student recruitment, retention, and student outcome assessment; Maintain records and report on student progress; Keep abreast of technical changes in the field and update the program accordingly; Participate in professional development activities, professional growth, and institutional service; Engage in various departmental activities, including course development and evaluation, mentoring adjunct faculty, and participation in continuing education/community service; Perform maintenance and minor repairs of training equipment
